Happy Easter

Happy Easter

Remembering Jesus Christ that gave his life for our sins.

Happy Easter from The Bric a Brac Shop

Easter means different things to different people. The sacrifice of one man so we may have eternal life! The beginning of Spring and a rebirth to things. A rest for the holidays. And of course the rabbits, bunnies, eggs, and chocolate!

Many different meanings, so too, we will resurrect The Bric a Brac Shop. We have a few ideas in the works at the shop. Moving away from the full webseries ideas and branching out with a new concept.

Thanks to you loyal followers that have stayed around. If you have any ideas of what you would like to see please reply and comment. Would love to hear your views and what you would like to see. More coming soon.

Enjoy your Easter! Lots of blessings and chocolates.

See you soon.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Wishing you all the best for the Season.

Also a thank you for staying around.  Been quiet for most of the year.  We didn’t raise the funds to launch a webseries so we’ve been in limbo for a while.  However don’t give up hope.  There are plans to reactivate the site.  Maybe a more economical style web series.  If you have any ideas or thoughts please do comment.  This is also for your pleasure.  I would love to hear from you.

A very Happy New Year!  Hopefully you’ll hear more from us in the New Year!

Wishing you the best merriment of the Season.

Hi,

Thanks for subscribing to The Bric a Brac Shop – webseries.

A shop where you can get enchanted things. But, beware where they’re come from.

Still from Perfect Picture (Liis Mikk and Hebe Renard

We’ve come to the end of our Crowd Funding campaign. A month of raising funds so we can make a first series of supernatural episodes centred around the objects from The Bric a Brac Shop. However we only raised £30.00. It’s not enough to make a series or even one extra episode. It seems that is the end for the series, for the moment.

We will now launch Perfect Picture, the pilot, as a short film and enter it into film festivals. See what happens next.

Thanks for all of you that have like and followed us on this journey.

THE BRIC A BRAC SHOP

28 November 2017

Hi,

Thanks for subscribing to The Bric a Brac Shop – webseries.

A shop where you can get enchanted things. But, beware where they’re come from.

Hope you’re enjoying the updates on our Indiegogo crowd funding page. Hopefully with the funds we’ll be able to get equipment to help make filming easier and go from Gorilla Filming to a professional standard. We can use proper lighting and equipment. We had to cut corners but still got some great filming. For example our scene on Helen. Close up on her face contemplating the future and the camera pulls out to reveal her sitting on a couch all by herself (above). Normally that would be filmed on a ‘dolly’. That is the camera sits on a tripod fixed to a platform set on wheels sliding on two rails. A bit like a railway carriage. We couldn’t afford equipment like that so we made with what we had.

I call it ‘Skateboard Cam’. We had put together a couple of planks of wood. Taped them to two skateboards and had the camera set up on it. We used it to move away from our subject creating the same effect as using a ‘dolly’.

Of course filming would be easier if we could just get the equipment we needed instead of thinking ways around to get the same desired effects. This is where funding will help. With your support we can get the 1st series of THE BRIC A BRAC SHOP off the ground. Get great equipment, pay cast and crew, and have some entertaining footage for you to watch. Of course, if we don’t hit our target we can use it to compensate our cast & crew on Perfect Picture and make the new episodes that we can. Please help.

Thanks for joining us on this journey.

Hi,

Thanks for subscribing to The Bric a Brac Shop – webseries

A shop where you can get enchanted things. But, beware where they’re come from.

I am proud to announce that we also have on board Naomi Paxton to also write for us. She is well know on the Edinburgh Fringe, being a researcher, writer, performer, and creator of her alter personality Ada Campe.

Being known for her comic performances of Ada Campe, Naomi is also known for her research and contribution to the Women’s Suffragette Movement, and has been advisor on the film, ‘Suffragette’ starring Meryl Streep and Helena Bonham Carter. With her versatility it will be exciting to see what sort of episode she comes up with for our series.

Again we can’t do it without your contributions. Please go to our Indiegogo crowd funding page on our website where you can help.

Thanks for joining us on this journey.
